Somewhat surprising to me was that kitchen and bath group, Kohler, has just opened up it's first retail outlet in Chicago.
"Located in Chicago's Merchandise Mart, the 7,000-sq.-ft. store was designed by New York-based design firm Janson Goldstein. Running water is incorporated into many of the products on display, creating a space that invites exploration. Neutral colors and materials were used to allow the products to take a front-and-center role. This approach is even extended to bathroom suite vignettes, which are more exhibition like, helping homeowners more easily visualize a particular product in their own bathrooms."
